Guesthouse Dyngja is located right by the harbor in Höfn on Iceland‘s south eastern coast. Höfn is at the roots of the largest glacier of Europe, Vatnajökull.
With its location right by the harbor, the guests of Dyngja can enjoy the view of the boats and everyday work that goes on at the harbor. Two of the best restaurants in town are right across the street, Humarhöfnin and Pakkhúsið. From May 2013 the information center will be placed in Gamla Búð, on the opposite corner from Dyngja. The bus station is only a few hundred meters away.
Höfn is 450 km from Reykjavík and only 79 km from Jökulsárlón, the glacier lagoon. Smyril Line, the ferry, stops in Seyðisfjörður which is only 213 km away (when driven through Öxi). Höfn‘s airport is 4 km from the town, where Ernir (Eagle Airways) operates flights between Reykjavík and Höfn. The flight only takes 50 minutes.
