Höfn is a fishing village on Iceland’s south eastern coast, about 450 km from Reykjavik. The population of the town is around 1700 but increases tremendously during the summer time due to all the tourist traffic. Höfn is in the region of Vatnajökull glacier, the largest glacier in Europe. The town is often called the lobster town of Iceland since a lot of lobster is caught in the sea nearby.
